Sobriety Chronicles – A Shared Journey of Alcoholism Recovery

Fifty years in sobriety have taught me that recovery isn’t a single moment; it’s a daily practice. I stopped drinking in 1976, and since then, Alcoholics Anonymous has helped me learn how to live life on life’s terms, one day at a time.
Sobriety Chronicles is where I share what I’ve learned along the way. These are personal stories, observations, and essays drawn from my own experience in AA. Some reflect lessons I learned in early recovery. Others explore the slogans, suggestions, and simple truths that have stayed with me over the years. I also write about the struggles, changes, and spiritual growth that can come with a life in recovery.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’m not here to tell anyone how to live. All I can do is share my experience, strength, and hope, in the spirit of Alcoholics Anonymous. If something I’ve written helps another person understand alcoholism, find encouragement in recovery, or get through another day without a drink, then sharing these experiences has been worthwhile.
Whether you’re new to AA, have been sober for years, or are simply looking for a better understanding of recovery, I invite you to spend some time here.
