Essays, Experiences, and Observations from My Alcoholism Recovery
Personal recovery in AA is never a one-time event; it occurs daily. It is an ongoing process of staying sober one day at a time and, in my opinion, is one that gives purpose and meaning to an individual’s life. I want to share my personal recovery stories, observations, and lessons learned with others so they can benefit. My sobriety date is May 11, 1976. My name is Jim C., and I got sober by going to Alcoholics Anonymous and the grace of a loving God. The following essays are my own and based upon what was shared, what was lived, and lessons learned:
